Because the W0VFW Ham shack is in need of repair and updating, we will begin to clean out the room, andremove the equipment and rebuild the shack. Over the next week, we will be making the following changes to the shack:
- It will be brought to commercial/military standards.
- We will be down a week or more
- Electrical will be brought to code. No extension cords, no outlet strips
- Grounds will be adequate and electrically and mechanically secure. (no Alligator clips)
- We will try incorporating our CAT batteries into a 12V buss for emergencies
- Operating positions will be available for HF, VHF and a "guest" position
- The "Guest" operating position will double as a business office position.
We will be working on the shack as time allows for the next 7 days, mostly in the evenings and weekends. Anyone wishing to donate time and materials let us know. We will also accept $$$$ for items we need to buy to completer the project.
